Every time I hear about other people's home-buying experiences, I only become more aware of how much of a privilege it was to work with him. If you're looking for an excellent realtor who knows—REALLY KNOWS—what they're doing and has your best interest at heart, that is Ethan. Here are some of the major things we benefited from while working with him:

-Seller concessions! As young first-time buyers, we were at a financial disadvantage in a competitive market. But Ethan knows how to spot a situation that would allow sellers to cover closing costs, and he is not shy about going for it. Without his expertise in this area, we may have lowered our prospects on what kinds of homes to go for. His expertise made a HUGE difference in our financial standing.

-Impeccable negotiation. He’s in another league here. He knows the ins and outs of this process from when to be aggressive vs when to pull back, what types of things you can ask for, and how your responses and contract updates can be perceived. If things get tense between sellers and buyers he knows how to get things back on track. And he's not afraid of tension if will get you the best result.

-A thorough network of inspectors, lenders, and contractors. We didn't have to lift a finger if we didn't want to. Everyone Ethan recommended for us was excellent and reasonable in price and helped things move along that much faster. He has and builds strong relationships.

-Patience and professionalism. He pretty much hand-held us through this process. He was never condescending, didn't mind explaining things (sometimes multiple times), and his presence in general is calm and confident. We would go out with our parents and he fit right in and handled the group well.

-Absolute honesty. Ethan will not let you walk into a bad deal, and he will strongly advise you to safeguard yourself in your negotiations or avoid homes that are showing to be a potentially bad investment.

-Unintrusive decision-making. Ethan will openly share his opinions on subjective matters if asked, but he makes sure that you are 100% in control and do not impose.

-Timeliness. Ethan moves fast! If time is lost on a deal, it certainly won't be because of him. He answered our calls nearly at all times of day and seemed genuinely happy to talk to us and excited to view homes with us.

In summary, it was a joy to work with Ethan and he really knows what he's doing. We closed on a beautiful home within a month from when we started looking. I know stories won't always go that way, but he is a big part of why our process went so well. I can't recommend him enough. I genuinely feel sadness for people who ignore my recommendation.
